These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Castles Electrical website and the electrical services we provide. By using this website, requesting an estimate, or scheduling work with us, you agree to these Terms.
Who we are
Castles Electrical is a locally owned electrical contractor based in Virginia Beach, serving Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and the surrounding communities. We hold a Virginia Master Electrician License (#2710048784) and a Class B Contractor License (#2705166194), and we are licensed and insured in Virginia.
Services
We provide residential and commercial electrical work, including panel upgrades, generator and EV charger installation, whole-home rewiring, lighting, outlets and circuits, surge protection, safety inspections, repairs and troubleshooting, and pool, spa and dock wiring. The specific scope of any job is the scope described in your written estimate.
Estimates and pricing
Installation estimates are free, and we offer free phone quotes on EV charger and generator installations. The price we quote before the work starts is the price you pay, and our estimates are honored for 30 days. Diagnostic and repair visits may carry a service charge, which we tell you about before we schedule.
Nothing on this website is a binding quote. Pricing shown or discussed online is an estimate only and becomes firm once we have assessed the work and issued a written estimate.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
- We schedule work by phone. For urgent problems such as a dead panel or a burning smell, we try to get you on the schedule the same day.
- Please give us reasonable notice if you need to reschedule so we can offer the slot to another customer.
- You agree to provide safe access to the work area, the electrical panel, and any relevant equipment on the day of service.
- If permits or utility coordination are required, we handle them; scheduling then depends in part on the local authority or utility.
Payment
Payment is due when the work is complete unless your written estimate says otherwise. We do not currently offer financing. Eligible active-duty and veteran customers receive a 5% military discount; ask us when you schedule.
Warranty and permits
We pull the permits our work requires and perform installations to code. Warranty terms differ by job and by manufacturer, and the terms that apply to your work are stated in your written estimate before the work begins. Manufacturer warranties on equipment such as generators, chargers and panels are provided by the manufacturer.
Limitations
We are an electrical contractor. We do not perform plumbing, HVAC, roofing or general remodeling work, and we do not guarantee the condition of equipment we did not install. If we find a problem outside our scope, we will tell you plainly and, where we can, point you toward the right trade.
